Disclosure & Ethics

Last updated April 2026. Effective date for all reviews published on or after this site's launch.

Editorial independence

No vendor pays Enterprise Software Review for inclusion in our coverage, score adjustments, prioritized publication, or removal of unfavorable content. Editorial decisions — what to review, who reviews it, what score it earns, when it's updated — sit entirely with the editorial team. Vendors do not have prior review rights over articles, do not see drafts, and do not influence the rubric weights applied to their products.

Affiliate relationships

Some product links on this site may be affiliate links — when you click through and complete a transaction with the vendor, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The presence or absence of an affiliate relationship has no influence on the score or recommendation. Articles that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure at the foot specifying the affected vendors and the nature of the relationship.

When two products in a comparison are scored similarly and we have an affiliate relationship with one, both are disclosed and the affiliate vendor is not given preferential placement in tables or recommendations.

Sponsorships and partnerships

We do not run sponsored reviews, paid placements, or "advertorial" content. The site does not host display advertising. If at any future date the site accepts sponsorships or paid placements, those would be (a) clearly labeled as such, (b) excluded from the editorial rubric, and (c) physically separated from review content. As of the date above, none of those exist.

Vendor relationships

We accept product demos, beta access, customer reference introductions, and unpaid briefings from vendors. These provide raw material for evaluation; they do not constitute a commercial relationship. We do not accept paid speaking engagements, paid travel, gifts above nominal value, or equity stakes from vendors we cover.

Where the editorial team has a prior commercial relationship with a vendor (former employment, advisory, paid consulting), the relationship is disclosed in-line in the affected article and a secondary reviewer co-signs the score. If the conflict is material to the recommendation, the article is reassigned.

Corrections

We correct factual errors. To request a correction, email corrections@enterprisesoftwarereview.com with a citation. Substantive corrections appear at the article foot with the date and a description of what changed. We do not silently update published articles.

AI-assisted authoring

Some research, drafting, and copy-editing on this site is assisted by AI tools. Final editorial responsibility — fact-checking, score assignment, and the published narrative — sits with the named human analyst signing the article. AI-generated content that appears verbatim is disclosed in the article foot.
